City Mayor's Workplace Levy

The City Mayor Peter Soulsby is planning on forcing employers across Leicester to pay a Workplace Parking Levy (WPL) if they provide dedicated parking spaces for staff.

This levy would push further burden onto the city's businesses who are already struggling having been through the COVID pandemic.

Only Labour run Nottingham city Council already have the levy so businesses in Leicester will have to pay a charge that few other businesses pay.

In Nottingham the charge is £428.

Despite being strongly opposed to the levy, the City of Leicester Conservatives are interested in the opinions of businesses. Please fill out our short survey below.
